Description
Gorham sterling silver fish server with a broad, slightly curved blade and an ornate Rococo-style sterling handle. The handle features reeded columns, scrollwork, and shell motifs throughout, terminating in a decorative volute end. A semi-hollow sterling handle joins a solid sterling blade via a decorative bolster collar. Monogrammed "HM" on one side of the handle. Marked on the blade with Gorham's anchor-and-lion hallmark, STERLING, and additional pattern marks. Blade shows light surface scratching consistent with age and use. Total length 12 inches; blade width approximately 2 inches at the widest point. Total weight 191 g. A substantial, fully sterling piece — not weighted.
