Description
Heavy sterling silver serving spoon featuring a decorative acorn finial at the terminal and a faceted, slender stem with a turned collar where it meets the bowl. The oval bowl is generously proportioned with a polished interior showing light age-consistent wear. Marked STERLING along with additional maker's marks. Total length is 9.25 inches; bowl measures approximately 2.3–2.45 inches wide. Weight is 88 grams. The acorn finial and faceted stem are characteristic of late 19th- to early 20th-century English and American silversmithing traditions.
